I’ve been struggling to get into my stride this autumn. In my way (I think) is that I missed an arbitrary start date of September 3rd, which was my ‘back to school’ moment, to get into action.
I had covid, it couldn’t be helped and it’s time to shake that off.
So much store is set by perceived significant dates; Birthdays, New Year, Anniversaries. And of course they are great prompts to remember and can help to prime us for action.
As Mark Channon puts it: “the simple yet powerful technique to steer our mind towards a productive and positive state”.
But we don’t have to be ruled by them and missing one is no reason to delay our commitments to move towards our goals. I’m sure someone somewhere is having a first day of school today and potentially on some ancient calendar today is the first day of the year.
And so with that in mind today I’m launching into my autumn stride and getting into action.
