Focus on the Action, Not the Outcome

An idea I found really helpful when starting my Coaching business, and continue to use is, "Focus on the action, not the outcome." My mind is slightly blown that this thought comes from the Bhagavad Gita so this is old, old wisdom.

The essence is simple: I have control over my actions, not the results they produce and this concept liberates me.

Like this post, I have control over writing it, editing it, adding an eye catching image 🤞 and putting it out there in service of others.

I don’t have control over how it is received or if it will spark a conversation, but by putting it out there, I open the door to possibilities.

Next time you have an idea to contact someone or share a post, remember this: focus on what you can control—the action. Let the outcome take care of itself. Without taking that step, you'll never know what opportunities you might miss.

Embrace the action, release the outcome, and watch how things unfold.
